It's a Batty Manic Monday

Bat is the theme this week!

For more info on Manic Monday

The first thing into my head upon hearing bat??
That's right, Louisville Slugger. I sleep with one of these next to my bed. When my husband is gone, I sleep with it in bed with me hidden under pillows. I also have one in my car but that's more because I'm convinced I'll come to a pick up baseball or softball game more than for self defense. Also, because I used to be the assistant softball coach and I never removed it from my car!

Yes, I sleep with a bat near by. I get very nervous at night. I usually go to bed after my husband or way before and I'm convinced that I'm always hearing something unusual in my house and that unusual noise is an intruder. This past summer when I had to spend a week alone I would walk through the house, bat in hand, checking all closets and behind all doors to make sure no one was there!

Be sure to comment and share your own! Still working out the kinks to have follow me comments but I am looking at your memes!!

I just use a gun myself, but a bat could work. Have a great MM. :)

Great image. The same "sleeping alone" paranoia sets in around my place as well.

When I hear Louisville Slugger, I think of that Carrie Underwood song "Before He Cheats"! *LOL*

You could really do some serious damage with one of those. Look at Kazuo Matsui here this postseason. Because you ARE rooting for the Rockies, right? :)

Some say Eastons are better, and that may be so. But I'll always have a fondness for Sluggers.

Happy MM!

I have not only tons of baseball bats but two strappong young men ages 16 and 19 to protect me if Hubby is away. I enjoyed your MM.

I am exactly the same way...
i am always waking up to what I think are strange noises in the house. I'd sleep with a bat in my bed too except that my toddler likes to climb into bed with me at night... I'd end up being the one clubbed LOL! Happy MM, great post!
